Lola Kramer is an independent curator, writer, and creative consultant based in New York City. Previously, she was the Curatorial Director of the NY-based non-profit Wide Rainbow, and the editor of the Bastard Cookbook, a collection of hybridized recipes by Thai artist Rirkrit Tiravanija and Finnish chef Antto Melasniemi, co-published by the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York and Garrett Publications.

She received her MA at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College in 2017 and presented an exhibition and thesis on the work of Lawrence Weiner. She has curated the exhibitions Lawrence Weiner: A Means of Avoiding Bureaucracy; K8 Hardy: Undergirding Heroine Ensemble; Sinister Feminism: The 12th A.I.R. Gallery Biennial (co-curated with Piper Marshall); I See You Shiver at the Hessel Museum, Annandale-on-Hudson; Courting Aporia at the Gebert Stiftung für Kultur, Rapperswil; How do you solve a problem like Maria?, organized with Oskar Weiss at the home of Pamela Rosenkranz in Zürich.

She has organized screenings and conversations around the work of Tony Conrad, Bunny Rogers, Julie Becker, Chris Kraus, Ryan Foerster, Leigh Ledare, and Lynne Tillman. She has worked with the Whitney Museum, the Hammer Museum, the Swiss Institute, and galleries based in New York City, Brussels, and Zürich. She continues to collaborate with Whitney Museum curator Chrissie Iles on ongoing research surrounding Castelli-Sonnabend Films and Tapes.

Her writing has been featured in the Whitney Biennial 2019 Catalog, and in publications Kaleidoscope, Interview, L’Officiel Art, apartamento, aCCessions, Le Salon, Études Books, CURA, and elsewhere.
